It’s time to bring out our Fall and Winter wardrobes. Read on for my favorite styles of the season and what I can’t wait to wear!
1.Play On Nudes
There is nothing more chic than a monochrome look. Keep it interesting by mixing textures to give your look more depth! This season I am loving brown, tan, and ivory color palettes. Chic and neutral.
2. 80s is back – emphasis on the shoulders
Add a serious dose of fun to any outfit by adding a top with statement shoulders. The 80s are officially back! From Frankie Shop muscle tees to Isabel Marant sweaters, I am loving this trend to elevate a simple everyday look!
3. Cutouts are in
As the temperature gets colder and we begin to cover up, I love to keep it sexy with tops and dresses that have cutouts around the décolletage, shoulders, waist, and back. A pop of skin when you take off your coat makes your look cozy but exciting!
4. Street-style heavy/slouchy coat vibe
When in doubt, opt for a slouchy coat on top of your neutral look or over your shoulders with jeans and a white tee. A slouchy, heavy coat elevates any everyday outfit into a street-style ‘fit. I am getting major fashion inspo from Caro Daur and how she adds an element of stylish sophistication to an otherwise simple outfit by adding an oversized coat and combat boots. There’s no better way to take your loungewear from the sofa to the streets!
5. Western Vibes
Who said you can only wear Western style out West? A denim on denim outfit with an embellished buckle belt is perfect for Fall in Miami. You can even elevate your Fall footwear game by adding boots with Western accents. Or, what better way to update your classic jeans and a white tee look than by adding a fun over-shirt for a pop of color?! I’m loving Anine Bing’s white high-neck tank for this look
6. Chunky Combat Boots
Pair them with your sweats and a slouchy coat or with a floral maxi dress to give it a darker vibe
7. Fall Sandals
Fall and Winter in Miami are a curious time. While we can’t deck ourselves out in multiple layers because it’s usually not cold enough, we can still adapt the season’s trends to work with our weather. Dior’s cage ankle sandals are a perfect Fall sandal for Miami. I would pair them with my favorite @aninebing white tank and leather pants (find out brand of ankle cinch pants from Alina’s insta) or with that same tank plus an over shirt and my @ullajohnson jeans.
8. Elevated loungewear
Pair with Isabel Marant sneakers to upgrade the look but still keep it comfortable and easy to throw on for school pick-up or just lounging at home.
9. Loving leather
Leather is a tried-and-true F/W staple. This season I am loving updated classics like (insert brand of the leather pants with cinched ankles that Alina posted on her instagram)
10. Cashmere Sets
Cozy cashmere knits are in! We’ve all seen the cashmere knit bra and cardigan set from @khaite_ny that has taken over our Instagram feeds. This look screams effortless and sexy. I can’t wait to try it out!
11. Chunky Chains
Since I am crushing hard on a neutral color palette this season, the best way to accessorize is with chunky chains. I opt for gold or silver depending on the outfit. They add a dose of playfulness to an otherwise neutral outfit. Chunky chains will never disappoint!
12. Ear party – the more the merrier!
There’s no better way to make a statement than by adding an ear party to your look! Gone are the days where just one piercing on each ear was sufficient. With so many beautiful options, I love to curate my ear party to add some shine to every look!
I’ve had so much fun these past few weeks getting my Fall and Winter wardrobe ready for the next few months. Putting looks together with Nat from @natrosenfeldstyling is such a great time and gets me so excited for my everyday plans and upcoming holiday travels.
Brands Alina is loving: Area, Arje (has great monochrome), Ulla Johnson, Isabel Marant
